DFFNYC is the only official festival that promotes Dominican cinemas and filmmakers in the Diaspora in the USA and Canada. The festival has been recognized by the Speaker of the House of New York City and the Congress of the United States of America.
OUR MISSION
DFFNYC - The Dominican Film Festival in New York’’s ’s mission is to promote a new generation of Dominican filmmakers along with established ones. DFFNYc strives to strengthen the vital economic and cultural relationship of the Dominican Republic with the United States. The festival’s main objective is to inform New York City audiences about Dominican cinema and its relation to the history, politics and social life of the country through an aesthetic approach. The festival’s program will showcase an array of works reflecting the city’s diverse population including a large ratio of Latinos from 21 countries. Search Results


Manzana Awards
Manzana Awards, the name given as an homage to the Greatest CIty of New York, called the Big Apple. The Manzana Award recognizes excellence of professionals in the Dominican film industry to both filmmakers the Dominican Republic and the Dominican Diaspora.
